| Set up for the 2006 General Election by one-time independent candidate Ooi Boon Ewe, its registration was not approved in time for nomination day. In 2011, Ooi missed the GE again when one of his assentors did not turn up. Soon after, he abandoned PLDP and applied to contest the Presidential Election in his third attempt since 1999 and, like the previous two, failed again to qualify for the Certificate of Eligibility. In subsequent elections, he would become a regular feature, appearing but failing to submit his candidacy. |
