| Launched on 25 May 2014 by former SDP and Presidential Election candidate Tan Jee Say, many of its founding members were former civil servants and PAP grassroots members. Before the 2020 election, SingFirst allied with DPP, PPP and RP. The parties planned to join SDA but were refused. Five days before polls nomination, Tan revealed that SingFirst had applied to disband. Members had joined other opposition parties such as SPP, PSP and PV, while Tan returned to SDP. With only one General Election outing in 2015, it is the first and only political party to officially cease to exist, making it the shortest-lived one in the post-independence era. |
